Square to Square bike ride set for Saturday, Sept. 10

The latest installment of the biannual Square to Square bike ride is set for Saturday, Sept. 10.

Participants will leave from the Bentonville square between 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and follow the Razorback Regional Greenway before heading east to finish on the downtown Fayetteville square for the official Finish Line Festival.

The 30-mile ride is part of a series of events organized by the Fayetteville Parks & Recreation Department designed to inspire locals to get active, and take advantage of the area’s parks and trails.

Ride & Registration

A variety of activities are planned at three designated pit stops along the way including live music, bike maintenance services, and basic ride refreshments. A post-ride celebration will include various activities and a bike valet. Riders can register online for a $25 fee ($15 for ages 9-13) which includes an event t-shirt, a water bottle, and a finisher medal.

Packet Pick-up

Registered participants can pick up ride packets at either the Fayetteville Parks & Recreation office (1455 S. Happy Hollow Road) or the Bentonville Parks & Recreation office (215 SW A Street) on Thursday, Sept. 8 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or Friday, Sept. 9 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Schedule & Shuttle Service

Ride Starts: 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (choose a start time when you register)
Pre-Ride Shuttles: From Fayetteville to Bentonville at 7 a.m., 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
Finish Line Festival: 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Post-Ride Shuttles: From Fayetteville to Bentonville at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
(Shuttles are limited to 50 riders on a first come, first served basis)

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to assist with various duties including course marking, course monitoring, event setup, event cleanup, participant check-in, bike valet, and other responsibilities.
