Local non-profit Apple Seeds will host their third annual “An Evening at the Farm” fundraiser next month.

The event, which features a farm-to-table dinner prepared by chefs Jerrmy Gawthrop of Greenhouse Grille and Case Dighero of Crystal Bridges, is set for Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Apple Seeds Teaching Farm at 1699 Hillcrest Avenue next to Ozark Natural Foods.

Guests will be treated to cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a four-course dinner cooked on an open flame.

In addition, Apple Seeds will be shuttling guests to their new Teaching Farm location at Gulley Park for a tour of the progress prior to dinner that evening. The new farm is set to open in the spring of 2007.

Tickets are $125 per person, and proceeds benefit Apple Seeds and the organization’s educational efforts and farm-based programs.
