BANNER ADS WORK
Regardless of how many click-throughs a banner ad receives, a recent study of the Journal of Consumer Research reveals that repeated views of web-based advertisements have a positive effect on consumer attitudes. In other words, banner ads work even if you think you don’t notice them at all.

AD UNIT DESCRIPTIONS
Content Banner – A 678 pixel wide by 60 pixel high banner that sits below the Featured Post on the homepage and all category pages as well as underneath the post content on every individual post page. The image can link to the website of your choice. There are five (5) positions available for this unit.
Sidebar Banner – A 245 pixel wide by 100 pixel high banner that sits in the sidebar on all post pages. The image can link to the website of your choice. There are ten (10) positions available for this unit.
Local Ad – A 100 pixel wide by 60 pixel high ad that sits at the bottom of the sidebar with a maximum of ten words of text to the right. Both the image and the text can link to the website of your choice. The image can be a logo, message or even a photo of your business. Local ads are restricted to Fayetteville businesses only. Local ads will appear stacked in sets of three and there is no limit to the positions available for this unit.
AD SPECS
- Fayetteville Flyer’s ad units accept most standard image file formats and rich media creatives, including Flash.
- 5x looping restriction for all sizes
- 90 second limit on animation for all sizes
- For publisher-served campaigns, the maximum serve is two creatives per site/size.
- For publisher-served Flash, we need the following code inserted into the swf file: getURL(_root.clickTAG, “_blank”);
Please note that the code must be exactly as above with a capital “T” only to avoid errors. We will also need a backup gif or jpg file of 40K max.
