Poetry Slam with Lauren Zuniga

University Programs will host a live performance by poet Lauren Zuniga, Wednesday, February 13, at 7p.m. in Au Bon Pain at the University of Arkansas Union.

This event is free to current University of Arkansas Fayetteville students through the Student Activities Fee, and students must show university ID for entrance. Admission for general public is free and contingent upon seating availability. Lauren Zuniga is an internationally touring poet and teaching artist. Zuniga is a three time national slam finalist and passionate activist. Born and raised in Oklahoma, she is the voice of Oklahoma City Community College’s “Now is Power” campaign featured on television and radio. Zuniga was voted Best Local Author by the Oklahoma Gazette in 2012. She is the author of two poetry collections, The Nickel Tour (Penmanship Books, 2009) and The Smell of Good Mud (Write Bloody Publishing, 2012).
