The randomly drawn winner is Aaron Thomason who wrote, “march 3rd is my 29th birthday, and i really, really, really wanna see sound tribe. i’ve seen them 5 times. it may be a bit cliche, but my favorite travolta movie is pulp fiction.”
Aaron won a pair of tickets to the Wednesday, Mar. 3 SOLD OUT performance of Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9) at George’s Majestic Lounge.
Looks like you got your birthday wish, Aaron. Nice luck!

Thanks to everyone who entered and thanks to George’s for sponsoring this giveaway.
(Note: Well this is embarrassing. Somehow, this winner announcement post got stuck in the queue and never was published. Sorry, folks. You can, however, always assume you didn’t win if you aren’t contacted within a few hours after a giveaway ends.)

Congratulations to the winner of the “‘Twas the Night” ticket giveaway, Valerie.
Valerie scored four premium tickets to the performance of her choice of TheatreSquared’s original production of “‘Twas the Night,” playing now at the Studio Theatre inside Nadine Baum Studios. Great job.
For those of you who didn’t win, there are still a few chances to check out the show this week, and you can still buy tickets online at the TheatreSquared website.
Thanks to everyone who entered, and thanks to TheatreSquared for sponsoring the contest.
I realized this morning I’ve done a crappy job of announcing the winners for our weekly score prediction contests here on the Flyer. Here are the last three winners in one post. Make friends with these people. They’re BBQ-rich.
Arkansas beat the crap out of Eastern Michigan, and Sardon was the closest to the 63-27 final score with his prediction of 63-14.
The winner of the Arkansas vs. Ole Miss score prediction contest is…no one.
It’s crazy, but not a single person picked Ole Miss to beat Arkansas in our weekly score prediction contest. Well, Seth did, but he’s not eligible to win because he’s on staff.
And since the rules of the contest clearly state that you have to pick the correct winner to be eligible to win, strangely, no one wins this week.
Personally, I’m kind of proud of you guys. Even if I believed that Ole Miss was going to beat Arkansas, I couldn’t have said it out loud. Better luck to us all next week against Eastern Michigan.
Congratulations to Ian, winner of the Arkansas versus Florida score prediction contest, and a tailgating package for 4 from Sassy’s Red House.
Ian predicted a score of Florida 27 Arkansas 24, just 8 points off of the actual score of 23-20. Nice job, Ian.
Thanks to everyone for entering, and thanks again to Sassy’s Red House sponsoring our weekly score prediction contest. Go Hogs!
Congrats to J, the winner of the Texas A&M vs. Arkansas score prediction contest.
J predicted a score of 48-17 Arkansas, just three points off from the actual score of 47-19. Nice work.
Thanks again to Sassy’s Red House for sponsoring our weekly score prediction contest. Go Hogs!
Congratulations to the winner of our Auburn vs. Arkansas score prediction contest, George.
J and George tied with a 7 point difference between their prediction and the actual score. In the event of a tie, Random.org picks the winner, and George was the lucky one this time, scoring a tailgating package for four from Sassy’s Red House.
Thanks again to Sassy’s Red House for sponsoring our weekly score prediction contest. Now let’s keep our momentum going, and beat Florida this week.
Congratulations to the winner of the Chefs in the Garden ticket giveaway, Chaz Davis.
Chaz won two tickets to Chefs in the Garden at the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks on October 8th.
For those who didn’t win, you can get your tickets over at the Botanical Gardens site. Tickets are $35 in advance, $45 day of event, so if you’re going, you better go ahead and grab those babies.
Thanks to those of you who entered, and thanks to The Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks for sponsoring this contest.
It took a while, but we’re finally ready to announce the winner of Arkansas vs. Alabama score prediction contest.
Josh McCain was only 3 points off, and Pipepimp was only 7 points off on his prediction, but neither of them responded in time to claim their prize, so Teresa Prewett ended up winning the BBQ from Sassy’s this time.
Congrats to Teresa Prewett, winner of a tailgating package for four from Sassy’s Red House.
Thanks again to Sassy’s Red House for sponsoring our weekly score prediction contest. Now lets beat those Aggies today, wanna?
Congrats to Jami Forrester, the winner of two tickets to Monday night’s performance of The Wedding Singer at Walton Arts Center.
For those who did not win but would like to attend, head on over to waltonartscenter.org to purchase tickets.
A big thanks to everyone who entered and to Walton Arts Center for sponsoring this giveaway.
Well Fayetteville, for the most part we fared about as well picking the score of the Arkansas vs. Georgia game as Arkansas’ defense did at stopping Georgia quarterback Joe Cox. Not very well.
Only four of you (and Jonathan from the Flyer staff) picked Georgia to win, and The Truth came closest to the 52-41 final score with his pick of Georgia 31 Arkansas 24.
Congrats to The Truth, the winner of a tailgating package for four from Sassy’s Red House. If we were good sports, we’d congratulate Georgia, too. Meh.
Thanks again to Sassy’s Red House for sponsoring our weekly score prediction contest. Up next, Alabama.
Congratulations to the winner of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) ticket giveaway, Prospect.
Prospect won two front row tickets to the performance of Complete Works of her choice.
For those who didn’t win, you’ve got one more week to see Complete Works, playing through Sunday the 20th. You can get your tickets at the TheatreSquared website.
Thanks to those of you who entered, and thanks to TheatreSquared for sponsoring this contest.
Congratulations to the winners the tickets to the Lucero and Cross Canadian Ragweed show next weekend at the AMP.
There were five winners. Amber, Meagan, Emily, Beebs, and Milky won a pair of tickets each. Great job.
The show is on Saturday, September 12th around 6:00 pm.
If you didn’t win, it’s cool. There are still tickets available on the AMP’s website.
Thanks again to the AMP for sponsoring this contest.
The contest for dinner at a local restaurant and a pair of tickets to The Second City at Walton Arts Center had 65 comments and lots of great entries.
Congrats to Rhonda and Brad Lawless for being the lucky winners. Rhonda picked up a gift certificate to Emelia’s Kitchen and Brad won the Powerhouse Seafood prize. Both are going to see The Second City on opening night next week.
Thanks to everyone who entered and to Walton Arts Center, Emelia’s Kitchen and Powerhouse Seafood for sponsoring this giveaway.
Yesterday’s Restaurant Week contest for an Indian Buffet from Ella’s probably set some kind of world record for entries in a one day. 81 comments? Nice work, Fayetteville.
Congrats to Christine, winner of the Indian Buffet Gift Certificate. Her favorite dish is one her mom makes, some “amazing turkey patty things you dip in yogurt sauce with eggplant and chickpeas.” Sounds good to me.
Thanks to everyone for entering, and thanks to Ella’s for sponsoring this contest. If you didn’t win, you can still get some Indian food at Ella’s. In fact, today’s the day.

This morning’s “I Heart John Ray” contest was a quick one. In fact, it only lasted 45 minutes.
Congrats to Heather Kendrick-Gerlaugh for scoring a pair of tickets to Thursday night’s event. Heather was actually the runner-up but since the winner had a last-minute schedule conflict come up, she became the official ticket holder.
You can still purchase tickets if you didn’t win, though. And if you’re still not sure what this event is all about, here’s the original story.
