Mamma Mia opens Feb. 8 at Walton Arts Center

Did you read those words up there? The big black ones above that said “Mamma Mia opens Feb. 8 at Walton Arts Center.”

Cool. Those are the words you were supposed to read first. Also, they’re true.

After that, I was hoping you’d look at the picture to the left to kind of get an idea of what I’m talking about. Like, you’d see the people in the bright costumes and microphones and arms waving around, and you’d be able to tell that they were singing and dancing.

At that point, you’d be able to tell that I’m talking about a musical, called Mamma Mia, and you might be interested enough to at least get to this point in this post. Did it work?

The North American tour of the show is coming to the Walton Arts Center for eight performances from Feb. 8-13. The show, based on the songs of ABBA, is celebrating its 10th year on Broadway this year, and more than 3,800 performances later (seen by more than 45 million people worldwide), it’s still one of Broadway’s best selling musicals.

Tickets are $53-73, and are available by calling 479-443-5600, or at waltonartscenter.org.
