NWA Pride parade, festival set for June 14-16, 2019

The annual Northwest Arkansas Pride Parade and Festival is coming up June 14-16 in Fayetteville.

This year’s festival will kick off with Friday night festivities including a Rainbow Disco Party at Maxine’s Tap Room, and “Out in the Ozarks,” a comedy night featuring one of the worlds most successful lesbian comedians, Fortune Feimster, and local storytelling troupe, That’s What She Said at Fayetteville Town Center.

Saturday events include the NWA Pride Festival on Dickson Street from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., with the annual NWA Pride Parade making its way up Dickson Street beginning at noon. The festival features a beer garden; food, craft, and nonprofit vendors; the PFLAG family zone; and the NWA Bear King Contest. The parade and festival are free to attend.

Later on Saturday, “the official party of NWA Pride,” called Glitterville will take place at George’s Majestic Lounge. This year’s event will feature Alyssa Edwards of Netflix’ DocuSeries “Dancing Queen” and RuPaul’s Drag Race, along with performances by DJ Joe Ross, DJ ATM, Arin Austin, Iman & the Haus of DeMarco, Taylor Madison Monroe, Miss Gay Oklahoma, Shanel Sterling, and Miss Gay Arkansas, Chloe Jacobs. Tickets are $25-30, on sale at Stubs.net

On Sunday, an event called Ozarks Hi Tea Dance & Pride Pool Party will take place at Mount Sequoyah Center. Tickets to the event are $20.
