Submissions

Fayetteville Speaks is our answer to a “Letters to the editor” section. Our readers are encouraged to share their opinions and ideas for possible publication on the Fayetteville Flyer.

A few guidelines

Include contact info: Include your full name, city, state, and phone number. Anonymous letters will not be posted.
Be clear and concise: Make your point in as few words as possible and stick to one point, OK? We aren’t going to put a word limit on this but the shorter the letter, the more confident you’ll seem.
Be accurate and fair: Anything you say that is inaccurate might not be posted so stick to the facts. Providing us with links to back up your statements will increase the chances of your letter being posted. Also, show respect for the opposite opinion. In case you didn’t know, being rude usually causes people to disagree with you on principle.
Being local helps: You don’t have to be from Fayetteville to get your letter posted but it may help if we need to prioritize.

Disclaimer

It probably goes without saying but just like with our columnists’ posts, letters in the Fayetteville Speaks section do not represent the views of the Fayetteville Flyer.
