A while back, we told you that HBO’s hit series about the NFL “Hard Knocks” will feature the Dallas Cowboys, and besides the fact that Dallas is a possible super bowl contender, and that it is one of the closest NFL teams to Fayetteville, and that there are a huge contingent of Cowboy fans in NWA, and that they have TO, and Pacman Jones, and Jessica Simpson’s boyfriend (what’s that dude’s name again. Rhymes with homo, I think), and the fact that former Razorbacks Defensive coordinator Reggie Herring is on the Cowboy’s staff, we’re really excited because we’ll get to see our own Felix Jones in action tonight.
If you have HBO, it’s on tonight at 9:00, and if you don’t, call your friend who does and ask if you can come over. And if your friend doesn’t have HBO, call Ted Dancin’, and if you don’t know Ted Dancin’s #, sorry dude. You’re screwed.
Maybe it will come out on DVD, but by that time, Felix will have already thoroughly kicked the crap out of the entire NFC on his way to compete w/ DMAC for rookie of the year honors. Boo-yeah. Set your DVR’s, or VCR’s, or whatever.

With all the talk of Darren McFadden in this year’s NFL draft, it was easy to forget about Arkansas’ other badass running back.
Lately, however, it seems as though the Dallas Cowboys are bound and determined to make sure their Hog stays up front and center. Only it’s still uncertain what they think of his football skills.
In a video interview on the Dallas Cowboys’ website, star quarterback Tony Romo has added his two cents about rookie running back Felix Jones. Instead of expressing his fondness for Felix’s “bubble butt” like owner Jerry Jones, Romo seems to be more impressed with a little something else.
“He’s got a real nice package of things we’re going to use, I think.”
He’s got a real nice what?

Hard Knocks is HBO’s sports documentary series that follows one NFL team through its pre-season training camp. The show takes a reality television-style look at the drama involved in getting a team ready for the upcoming season including the pranks they play on each other, personal/family issues and of course, the battle for positioning.
Last season followed the Kansas City Chiefs and focused on the battle between Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle for the starting QB position as well as Larry Johnson’s extended contract holdout and some pranks that were played on incoming rookie Dwayne Bowe.
It was an interesting series for sure but it will probably pale in comparison to what’s in store for the newest season which focuses on the Dallas Cowboys.
As if Terrell Owens’ antics aren’t enough to fill an entire season alone, add Pacman Jones, Tony Romo, Jessica Simpson, Jerry Jones and of course Arkansas’ own Felix Jones to the mix and HBO should have no problems filling in any remaining gaps in programming drama.
The latest episodes will air in August and will mark the second time in which the Cowboys are featured in the show’s four total seasons.
Here’s hoping we don’t have to hear Jerry Jones talking any more about Felix Jones’ “bubble butt.”

In perhaps the most interesting story to be come out of the 2008 NFL Draft, The Dallas Morning News blog has this to report:
————————————————————-
There was an awkward moment during the Cowboys’ draft Sunday press conference when Jerry gushed about the thickness of Felix Jones’ bottom. ESPN.com’s Matt Mosley, who raved about the rookie RB, reports that Jerry was still fascinated by Felix’s posterior a week later.
“He’s got one of those nice bubble butts,” said the owner, who was attempting to point out that Jones (5-10, 207) shouldn’t be considered a scatback.
Jerry’s fascination with Felix’s rear should be considered a great sign by Cowboys fans. Those of you over 30 surely recall Jerry, right after he bought the team, gushing about how good a rookie looked in the shower. Troy Aikman turned out to be a pretty good player.

It’s no wonder Jones and the boys didn’t trade up to get DMac – his ass isn’t quite nice enough.

To literally no one’s surprise, Arkansas’ own Darren McFadden was placed atop Sports Illustrated’s Top 12 Running Back Prospects in NFL Draft.
“Given his tremendous combination of size, speed, power and instincts, he’s the premiere player in April’s draft and will justifiably be labeled a ‘franchise back.’”
Nipping at D-Mac’s heels, Felix Jones took the #4 spot on the list.
”He does not get the same acclaim as his teammate Darren McFadden, yet he is a skilled runner and is likely to be drafted in the late part of round one.
Of course they’re both first round draft picks. They’re both total badasses and will be an asset to any team that drafts them. As excited as I am about two Razorback RB’s being, most likely, first round picks, it’s really starting to hit me that they’ll both be gone next year. I’m really going to miss these dudes come the ‘08 college football season.
