A lawsuit filed by four residents challenging the city’s rezoning of land for Project Cleveland, a planned apartment complex at North Hall Avenue and West Cleveland Street, was dismissed Tuesday.
The 6-2 decision came shortly after midnight and followed nearly five hours of public comment, mostly from residents and students who were in favor of the new apartment complex.
After several meetings with both city planners and area residents, the project’s developers say they’ve dramatically scaled back their original plans in hopes of gaining staff and neighborhood approval.
Another large-scale student housing complex is planned in Fayetteville from the team responsible for Eco Modern Flats and two other upcoming downtown projects – 555 Maple and Eco Downtown.
