The promoters for next month’s Dickson Street Music Festival are collaborating with the City of Fayetteville and a handful of environmentally-conscious groups in an effort to “pave the way for future events to practice social and environmental responsibility.”

First announced at AccessFayetteville.Org and then reported at NWAnews.com, the details of of the eco-friendly event are now posted on the official DSMF website.

According to NWAnews.com, “Beatnik Environmental, an organization that promotes environmental awareness through music, art, and event production, and SocialSustenance.Org are organizing guidelines for vendors as well as educational programs.”

Look for a heavy emphasis on recycling at this year’s event and plenty of eco-friendly tips and information including Omni-produced interactive carnival-style games.
