PostSecret comes to Northwest Arkansas

  • By Todd Gill ·
    December 19, 2008

It’s doubtful that you need us to explain what PostSecret is but in case you need a refresher, it’s the mail art project that was all the rage a couple of years ago but continues to gain exposure with its incredibly addictive concept that involves people mailing in their secrets anonymously on a handmade postcard for the world to see.

“I met my husband at gay bar” and “I am so terrified of true love, I married someone else” are just some of the types of many secrets that people from all over the world send in as contributions.

Originally beginning as an experimental Blogger site, the idea has grown to include various international website versions, a series of books, a popular PostSecret Community, collegiate university events and a traveling art exhibit.

Said exhibit is currently in Northwest Arkansas through February 2nd at Crystal Bridges at the Massey in Bentonville. It’s absolutely worth checking out especially considering admission is free.

Oh, and if you’re an All American Rejects Fan, you might enjoy this video for their hit “Dirty Little Secret” which features plenty of PostSecret artwork as well as lots of guitars. And drums. And bass. And singing.
