Fayetteville Public Schools offers reward for info on fire culprit

Sometime before 4:00 am this morning, someone threw a flaming log through the window of Fayetteville High School principal Jim Price’s office, starting a fire. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the single room, and the fire has already been labeled as incendiary.

Fayetteville High School was able to hold school as scheduled today despite the fire this morning.

“We’re happy no one was hurt,” Principal Price said at a news conference this morning.

The Fayetteville School District is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the fire at Fayetteville High School this morning in principal Jim Price’s office.
