Lioneld Jordan fires Gary Dumas

Hot off the heels of posting a story about Gary Dumas’ paid parking proposal, we awoke this morning to find the following headline on the front page of the Northwest Arkansas Times: Dumas booted.

Apparently, the move was part of a restructuring to make room for Jordan’s newly-created chief of staff position.

The story goes on to discuss possible salary freezes but what’s left untouched is whether or not Dumas’ highly controversial parking lot proposal will ever see the light of day now. Fortunately, there’s an editorial a few pages deeper that takes a closer look at all this.

“Where the election of Jordan leaves the Dickson Street parking matter is anyone’s guess. It’s too early to know,” say the editors.

What’s your guess?
