After two weird weeks, (or four mini-weeks, depending on your perspective) this week was like a Phish song. From hell.
Actually, it’s been a good week here at the Flyer, so maybe it was more like a LOTR movie, or a Springsteen concert or something equally long and awesome, but the point is, none of this matters now because it’s weekend time, baby.
Below is the weekly list of the things that we know about that are going on around town in Fayetteville, and as always, feel free to add your own events in the comments.
Suggestions: Tonight, geek out to the One Ups at Froggy’s, a band that plays instrumental video-game music. It’s fun, weird, and you can relive you Legends of Zelda conquests while you drink. Win-win.
Saturday, we’ll be heading to Bud Walton arena to watch the Razorbacks kick the crap out of Mississippi State in their first SEC game this year, and then either head over to George’s for Mountain of Venus and (best band name ever) Crazy Neighbor, or to the Smoke and Barrel for Stacy Mackey and Parachute Woman.
Sunday, we’ll be at the WAC for the Wizard of Oz, which we’ve heard is awesome, followed by a show at the Mayapple featuring Wabash, Y Lime, and Real Live Tigers.
