If today is your regularly scheduled trash and recycling day in Fayetteville, don’t freak out if no one comes to pick it up. It’s icy out there.
From the city’s accessfayetteville.org site: “The City of Fayetteville Solid Waste and Recycling Division has suspended commercial trash, residential trash, recycling and yardwaste routes on Tuesday, January 27th, 2009. Routes will be delayed until road conditions improve. Residents are encouraged to leave the trash carts and recycling bins at the curb until crews can safely service them.”
In other words, chill out. The trash and recycling guys will be around as soon as they can, and until then, stay safe, and try to stay warm until all this is over.
