Forbes ranks Fayetteville #6

According to our most recent poll here at the Flyer, 58% of you are Razorback fans and a surprising 27% you “Can’t freaking stand” the Hogs. Personally, I thought there would be more of you who chose the second answer which was “Glad we have ’em but don’t love ’em.”

Love ’em or hate ’em, they are a part of what makes Fayetteville … well … Fayetteville. But I’m not the only one who thinks so.

Forbes.com has ranked Fayetteville #6 in the Top College Sports Towns in the United States. “Fayetteville has access to countless lakes and trails in the area around the Ozarks,” they said before mentioning that the U of A finished 24th in last year’s Director’s Cup, a program honoring institutions that maintain a broad-based program, achieving success in multiple sports, both men’s and women’s. “Off the playing fields, Fayetteville four-bedroom homes run $252,950, which, for a median income earner of $38,983, isn’t too bad. The town tied for 12th best in our quality of life rating that measured school performance and crime rates.”

I’m a little surprised that we edged out Chapel Hill. That place is really awesome. I’d trade them for Lexington any day. Especially today.
