Riverfest artists announced

Our friend Lindsay Miller over at the Rock Candy Blog at the Arkansas Times posted a few of the artists that will be at Riverfest in Little Rock this year. Let’s just call the initial announcement of musicians “diverse.”

Everyone’s favorite Citizen Soldiers Three Doors Down are listed, along with rising country music star Jason Aldean, Love-shackers the B-52’s, Gavin “Glycerine” Rossdale, yacht rockers the Little River Band, kid songers (and Grammy Winners) Trout Fishing in America, and Willie Nelson (no explanation needed) have been announced so far.

For those who don’t know, Riverfest is the annual Memorial Day concert in Little Rock, and one of the largest festivals in the state of Arkansas.

Last year, Riverfest drew an estimated 250,000 mofo’s, which by most standards is indeed a lot of mofo’s. There are usually a good mix of local, regional, and national acts, and there’s also a good mix of carnival food like funnel cakes, turkey legs, cotton candy, and the like.

It all takes place May 22nd, 23rd and 24th in Downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock. We’ll keep you updated as more artists are announced.
