Wanna buy Marcus Monk’s car?

  • By Todd Gill · Tuesday, Mar 24, 2009

Does this car look familiar to you? If so, it’s probably because you’re used to seeing it drive around town with UA football/basketball star Marcus Monk behind the wheel.

For anyone who just can’t live without this little piece of Razorback pride, today’s your lucky day because Marcus is selling it on eBay.

Custom Razorback paint

The candy red 2001 Grand Marquis GS is currently in Monk’s home town of Lepanto, Arkansas and the current bid is $13,700. There’s a Buy It Now price of $30,000 and the auction ends in 3 days. In other words, if you wanna chillax with Marcus Monk in his car at his house, you better hurry up and buy this thing.

From the eBay listing:
“The visual impact of the car is that of distinction, a 1 of 1. None before it and none to come. Flashy and spacious. You will be the only person on the road riding like this, so Bid With Confidence!!!!!!!!!!!!”

It’s got low mileage, 26 inch rims, a 3,000 watt amp and a custom Razorback paint job on both sides. Need more info? Just want to converse with Marcus Monk? E-mail him at mmonk8585(at)hotmail(dot)com.

After going pro in the NFL and getting waived by both the Bears and the Giants, Monk briefly came back to Fayetteville to help Courtney Fortson and Co. beat the snot out of Oklahoma and Texas in the basketball pre-conference season. He was cut from the team after eligibility issues arose but word on the street is that he’s back out seeking a new pro football team.

Awesome? Yes.
