Weekend: March 27, 28, 29

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Friday, Mar 27, 2009

The weather this weekend is looking pretty lame, with a 60% chance of rain tonight, and another 60% chance of rain / snow (lame) tomorrow.

There’s also a 85% chance that work will suck today, because that one co-worker you have has seasonal depression, and is ticked about the weather, and so when the copier breaks (62% chance), and someone takes the last of the coffee without making a new pot (91% chance), there’s a 95% chance that they’re gonna take it out on you. Suck.

Luckily, there’s a 100% chance that the weekend is coming at around 5:00 today, and should last through sometime Sunday night, and that’s 200% awesome.

Tonight, if you were planning on checking out the Zach Brown Band at George’s, you’re probably outta luck because that show is already sold out. You can still get your George’s fix, though, by checking out the Bel Aires at happy hour.

The undefeated-in-conference-play Razorback baseball team is making their return to Baum stadium this weekend, with a three game series with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, that is, as long as the weather holds up.

Nebbia by Cirque Eloize is playing all weekend at the Walton Arts Center, which according to Todd, will “freak you out.” In a good way.

Saturday night, there’s a huge show at the Gypsy on College with Taproot, Dear Enemy, One less Reason, Adekin, and Without a Whisper.

In Midtown, you can check out St. Anthony, High Society, Daytona Florida at one of our new favorite venues, Cheers.

Also on Saturday, Cletus Got Shot will be having their CD release party at the Smoke and Barrel Tavern.
