Dog Party USA hosts dog party to benefit Humane Society

Dogs rule. No matter what you do, how weird your hair looks, or how fat you look in those pants (sorry dude), dogs will always think you are awesome. They’ll jump all over you when you get home from work, and lick your jeans (or your face if they can reach), and generally freak out all over the place just because you walked in the door. When they calm down, they’ll just kind of hang out beside you, and lean on you if they can just because they like hanging out with you. That’s how much dogs love you, and there’s nothing you can do to change it. Face it. They’re awesome.

On Saturday, you have a chance to earn all that dog-love when Dog Party USA, a boarding and daycare facility in Tontitown, hosts “Dog’s Night Out.”

Dog’s Night Out, or DNO if your hip, is a progressive feast for canines from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. This will be a fundraiser for the Humane Society of the Ozarks, a non-profit organization based in Washington County and an active chapter of the Humane Society of the United States.

Dogs can show up with their humans and be treated to a thee-course-dog-feast of some of the best gourmet dog chow in the country. “The humans will also be treated to dinner and drinks,” said Chaddie Kumpe Platt, board member of the Humane Society and owner of Dog Party USA.

Tickets will be $25 for two people and one dog, and $10 for each additional dog or human.

Also coming up is the Dogwood Walk, another annual dog party at Gulley Park in Fayetteville, going down on May 2nd this year. Mark your calendar. Ruff.
