Damgoode Pies is coming

  • By Todd Gill · Friday, Apr 3, 2009

The rumors have been circulating around town since December that a Damgoode Pies was on its way to town. First, we heard it was going to be in Johnson and then we asked a Little Rock employee who said, “somewhere near Dickson.” The final rumored location – and the one that was ultimately true – is 31 E. Center Street, better known to us locals as the old Hoffbrau Steakhouse just off the square.

“I’m looking forward to bringing the best pizza in Arkansas to Fayetteville,” said franchisee Brendan Maxwell. “It’s been a long time coming and I look forward to opening by the middle or late part of May.”

So there you have it.

For those unfamiliar with Damgoode Pies, first of all, it’s delicious. Secondly, if you have kids, get ready to allow a new phrase into their vocabulary: “Thanks for the Damgoode pizza, Mom!”

With three busy locations in Little Rock and a following of pizza fans all over the state who swear by the place, look for Damgoode Pies to make quite a splash when it opens next month despite the fact that Fayetteville is already Pizza-Rich.

We’re not sure if they’re going to be bringing any of their hilarious radio ads to our area (click the “media” section of their website to hear ’em) but one thing’s for sure, they’re definitely bringing their pies. And pastas. And sammies. And salads.

Customers will be able to call ahead for a dine-in order by dialing 444-PIES (7437), but it won’t just be a dine in-only establishment. Delivery and carry out orders will also be available.

“I love Fayetteville and look forward to opening the newest Damgoode Pies very soon,” said Maxwell.

Is anyone else looking forward to Damgoode Pies in Fayetteville?
