Local news: Wednesday 4/8

Social media and City Hall
Ward 2 Alderman Matthew Petty plans to bring forth a resolution to require city officials to use social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter when making important announcements. Check out “Fayetteville social media resolution in the works” (Fayetteville Flyer) for more.

Speaking of important announcements…
The City Council voted last night on whether or not to use newspapers for local announcements that they aren’t legally required to put in a paper in an effort to save taxpayer money. Lessie has the story at “Subsidy Subsides” (Fayettevillage Voice).
