To-do: Thursday 4/30

  • By Todd Gill · Thursday, Apr 30, 2009

Tonight’s pretty packed with stuff to do around town but compared to Saturday, this ain’t nothin’, folks. Have you seen the events page, lately? There’s at least 20 items for Saturday and the list is not getting any smaller.

Our evening will consist mostly of covering the fashion show benefit at Ultra Studios but if that’s not your cup o’ tea you’ve got choices.

For example, you could head over to the Mill District at 4pm for the evening Farmers’ Market you’ve been meaning to check out but haven’t gotten around to yet. Or you could go at 5pm when you get off work. It’s up to you, y’know?

George’s has a pretty big show with Pat Green and just up the street at Smiling Jack’s is 3 Penny Acre. Ever heard of ‘em?

As usual, Opal Fly is at Smoke & Barrel and there’s always a drag show at Tangerine.

If Midtown’s your thang, Cheers has Toast To The Blind and Pesto Cafe‘s Thursday nights are always Kevin Bennoch-ized.

But wait, there’s more:

Cheers: Toast To The Blind
Fayetteville Farmers’ Market: On the square (7am-1pm), Mill District (4pm-7pm)
George’s: Pat Green Randy Houser
Jose’s: Leah & the Mojo Doctors
Maxine’s: The Karltens

Speakeasy: DJ Peaches
Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall: Katie Priest Violin Recital
Tangerine: Drag show
Ultra Studios: Fashion Show Benefit for Children’s House NWA
