To-do: Tuesday 5/12

  • By Todd Gill · Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Forgive me in my tardiness with this to-do post. I’ve been staring at the broken Sugar Mountain Restaurant sign on College for 8 hours straight waiting for it to magically fix itself. I’m giving up.

So what’s going on tonight? Stuff. Stuff for you to do. Except you should put a hyphen between “to” and “do”. It looks better that way.

One of the more interesting events tonight is Woofstock at Baum Stadium. I’m not sure about all the details but it’s something to do with bringing your dog to a Razorback baseball game. You know, so your dog can watch the game. In person dog.

Hmm. What else? There’s a poetry slam at Smiling Jack’s Fresh Foods. Slam some poetry. Slam some fresh foods and for the sake of contributing to the new atmosphere on Dickson Street, slam some adult beverages.

If you enjoyed the Connect Four tournament at Smoke & Barrel Tavern last week, you’ll be happy to know there’s a Jenga tourney tonight. Register by 7pm. Tourney at 7:30pm.

There’s more stuff happening but I’m gonna give that Sugar Mountain sign another 2 hour stare-down so here you go:

Arsaga’s Gregg: Chase Pagan
Baum Stadium: Arkansas vs. Oral Roberts – 6:35pm (Woofstock)
Fayetteville Farmers’ Market: On the square (7am-1pm)
George’s: Electro Lounge – No Cover
Gypsy on College: Friday Maybe Saturday, Sandia, Black Suit Karma, Born In Winter
Jose’s: Isayahas All Stars
Smiling Jack’s Fresh Foods: Ozark Poetry Slam, 7:00pm. $3 for Students, $5 for non-students.
Smoke & Barrel: Jenga Tournament
Teatro Scarpino: McLeod/Burston Quartet Jazz Jam
Walton Arts Center: Fiddler on the Roof – 7pm
Wet Pig BBQ: Open Acoustic Jam
