DJ Treasure Fingers at FIX

  • By M Taylor Long · Thursday, May 14, 2009

Listen up Fayetteville. There typically isn’t a lot happening Wednesday nights, so next Wednesday, May 20th, you need to get to FIX on Dickson. DJ Treasure Fingers of the Fool’s Gold label will be gracing our fair town with his goodly beats, and you’d better be there with your dancing shoes tied tight. I’ve been to a few of this guy’s NYC shows and they’re always a good time. Show up with all your favorite friends, and you won’t be disappointed.

Wait, have you guys ever been to FIX? It’s in the same building as Willy D’s on Dickson. You enter through the Willy D’s doorway and take a hard right. Be sure to take note of the strange transition you experience: from one room with two dudes on pianos singing “Girls just want to have Fu-uun” into a mood-lit lounge with an elevated DJ throne and floor bumping beats.

To those of you who are hungry for more dance parties in general, check out regular Wednesdays at FIX. The Aerosault family does a Wednesday weekly hosted by EQ and Shortfuze. Recent Wednesday line-ups have included French Horn Rebellion, 607, Luminfire, Robe Flax, Xaphan, Beat Bachs, and Tanner Beam. See below for a few photos I’ve taken from past Wednesday nights.

EVERY Wednesday at FIX there’s no cover, $7 beer buckets, and $1 drinks for the girlies. Any other fun dance parties happening around here? Let me know. Those sweaty summer nights are on their way. I’m ready to put on my short shorts and dance dance dance.
