To-do: Wednesday 5/20

  • By Todd Gill · Wednesday, May 20, 2009

We normally don’t list City Council meetings in our To-do posts but last night’s was entertaining enough that it should’ve made yesterday’s cut. Between a debate on the use of social media in city government (resolution passed), a heated argument about some property rezoning in the Walker Park area (denied) and an ordinance proposal to establish a marijuana policy review panel (denied), the excitement in room 219 of the City Administration building might’ve rivaled that of those who were glued to their TVs in support of potential American Idol Kris Allen.

There were citizens who claimed technology was ruining our lives, people who were VERY much against an apartment building in their neighborhood and people who want to see to it that our local police officers are indeed making marijuana arrests a low priority. In other words, it was pretty awesome.

Tonight should be fun, too. Treasure Fingers is making an appearance at Club FIX. If you like to dance, you best get yourself to Club FIX tonight. Oh yes, you best.

That’s not all, though:
