The final stage of the 2009 Arkansas Razorback baseball season has officially begun.  Yesterday morning, the Hogs were invited to the NCAA Championship set to begin this Friday.  Arkansas enters the Norman regional as the #2 seed, the three remaining teams in this opening round double elimination regional are #1 seeded Oklahoma, #3 seeded Washington St and #4 seeded Wichita St.

Arkansas appears to be in a position to do well in the regional as they enter play against a team that they swept earlier this year in Washington St.  In addition, the Hogs enter the regional having halted their conference slump by going 2-2 in the SEC tournament.  I won’t go into the gory details about how Arkansas’ SEC tournament actually ended Saturday against the Vanderbilt Commodores.  All I will say is that the game was called in the 7th, and not because of the rain.  Trying to stay positive.

Arkansas will play Washington St this Friday at 2pm.
