To-do: Monday 6/8

  • By Todd Gill · Monday, Jun 8, 2009

If you spent any time at Wakarusa, it might be hard to imagine venturing back out for more live music. But if you’ve got it in you, tonight should be fun because there’s a free show at to celebrate the end of season one of Arkansas’ newest music festival.

Three Wakarusa bands are sticking around one more night and there’s no cover at all so if you need more Wakarusa because four days wasn’t enough or if you missed it entirely but want a teenincy taste, head out to George’s Majestic Lounge for Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, Old School Freight Train and Scythian.

Don’t forget to check out all the recaps and photos from Wakarusa including some excellent sets by M Taylor Long.

Here’s some more stuff going on tonight:

36 Club: Celebrate Little Moments to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWA – 6 pm
C.A.T.: TV Technology Workshop – 6pm
George’s: Post-Wakarusa w/ Old School Freight Train, Scythian, Dusty Rhodes & the River Band (FREE SHOW)
Pesto Cafe: Darren Ray
Smiling Jack’s Fresh Foods: Marley Monday
Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall: Sequoyah Music Festival Concert – 7pm
US Pizza Co: The Phosphenes
Walton Arts Center: Summer Camp: The Magician’s Art – 9am/1pm
