To-do: Wednesday 6/10

  • By Todd Gill · Wednesday, Jun 10, 2009

There’s plenty happening around town tonight but as far as I know, only one event will serve you up a slice of tasty pie as part of the show.

Fayetteville poet Clayton Scott will perform his one-man play “Down in Littletown” tonight (and tomorrow) at the Dickson Theater and afterwards, coconut creme pie will be served as part of the ticket price.

The southern-themed play is directed by Chris Plummer of New York City and the music is written and pre-recorded by Kelly Mulhollan with Donna Stjerna of the totally-awesome Still On the Hill.

Art Court art-themed basketball court to open on Dickson Street

From the release:

Try this mix: Steppenwolf, corn shucking, an annoying sister-in-law, death, Wild Turkey, disconnection with a son, a hand cranked ice crème churn and the will that determines the recipient of the homestead farm.

What else is happening? Lots:

Dickson Theater: Down in Littletown – 8pm
El Chico: Benjamin Del Shreeve
Ella’s: Jazz on the Hill
George’s: Sisters In The Round IV w/ Tiffany Christopher, Opal Fly, Bernice Hembree, Sarah Hughes, Candy Lee, Shannon Wurst
Greenhouse Grille: 1 oz. Jig
Herman’s Ribhouse: Effron White
Jose’s: Karaoke
Powerhouse: Mace Brothers
Smiling Jack’s Fresh Foods: Candy Lee
Smoke & Barrel: Twednesday w/ St. Anthony’s Bon Voyage
US Pizza Co: John & Kevin
