Boars Head Players present Bleacher Bums at Nadine Baum Studio

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Tuesday, Jun 23, 2009

If you’ve been outside in the past few days, one thing is blatantly obvious.

It’s summertime, baby.

And that means it’s baseball season, and it also means that the University of Arkansas Boars Head Players are presenting Bleacher Bums at the Walton Arts Center. Right?

The production actually opened last weekend, but there are four more chances to see Bleacher Bums starting on Wednesday, June 24th.

Bleacher Bums was conceived by Joe Mantegna, and written by the Organic Theatre Company. It’s a comedy about some Chi-town baseball fans watching their beloved Cubs take on the Cardinals (and probably lose. Eat that Cubbies) from the cheap seats at Wrigley Field. It’s also, apparently, hilarious.

If you haven’t seen it already, there are showings Wednesday the 24th through Saturday the 27th at 8:00 pm, and you can also check out a matinee on Sunday the 28th at 2:00 pm at the Nadine Baum Studios at the Walton Arts Center.

If you have seen it, how was it?
