To-do: Monday 6/29

Somehow we’ve been spared of the heat today. It’s only 84 out there right now which is about 10 degrees cooler than last week. Thanks, Mother Nature.

Who here is a chess player? I ask because there’s a chess tournament at Smoke & Barrel tonight and guess who won’t be entering. Me. Why? Because I don’t know how to play chess. Literally. I have no idea how to play. I don’t even know what the pieces are called. They all have names, right? Am I alone here or are there other folks who don’t know the slightest thing about chess?

This makes for a tough decision tonight. I could go to Smoke & Barrel and try to learn while having adult beverages (yeah right) or I could go to one of the following places and hear some live music:
