Giveaway: Melvin Seals tickets

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Wednesday, Jul 15, 2009

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED

For the last 2 years, George’s Majestic Lounge has celebrated the life and music of Jerry Garcia with their annual Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash on August 1st.

This year marks the third year of the annual party, and Jerry’s birthday falls on a Saturday this year. To celebrate, the Jerry Garcia Band’s own Melvin Seals will be appearing at George’s with Mountain of Venus and friends, and we have 5 pairs of tickets to give away. Win!

Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan is expected to be on hand to declare August 1st Jerry Garcia Day in Fayetteville as well. Yup.

How to enter
This one is so easy. Post a comment with the name of your favorite song by The Grateful Dead, The Jerry Garcia Band, or any of Jerry’s side projects, and you’re entered.

What you’ll win
You’ll get two tickets to the August 1st Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash show at George’s with former JGB Band leader and organ player Melvin Seals with Mountain of Venus.

The rules (read ‘em up):

  1. Feel free to comment all you want but you’ll only be entered once. Cool?
  2. This contest is open to anyone anywhere except Fayetteville Flyer writers, George’s employees, and their immediate family members.
  3. This contest is open until 5:00pm CST on Monday, July 25th, 2009.
  4. Make sure you leave a valid e-mail address when filling out the comment form since that’s how we’ll contact you if you’ve won.
  5. You’ll have to provide us with your first and last name (if you win) and then be prepared to show a valid photo ID when picking up your tickets.

Thanks to George’s Majestic Lounge for sponsoring this contest. To purchase tickets to the show, visit the George’s Majestic Lounge website.
