To-do: Thursday 7/23

Today’s a big day for locals Christmas Fuller Project. Whyzthat? It’s CD release party night for their brand new “Green & Lonely” 5-song EP and there’s a lot to do to get ready for one of those. You gotta get a new pair of jeans, make sure your favorite shirt is clean, round up a table and some kind of signage for selling your new CD. If it’s a weekday (like today), it’s extra tough because you’ve probably gotta work and all you’re thinking about all day is what you have to do to get ready for the evening.

The show is at George’s and the cover’s only five bucks. Plus there’s three other bands in support. Bonus.

We got our hands on a pre-release copy of “Green & Lonely” and it’s great. Head on over to their Flyer band page and have a listen to a track, will ya?

If there’s any way to bounce back and forth from that show and Smoke & Barrel, give it a try. Opal Fly & The Swatters rules the Thursday night scene there and if you still haven’t stopped in to see what the fuss is about, hop to it, hopper. Or buddy. Or beyotch. Or whatever your friends call you.
