LOCAL

Video: Celebration of the Razorback
Pardon my French but The Slophouse’s Brandon Marcello is a badass. Within a couple of hours of attending a major event, he had a post up on his site with not just the story but also an excellent, complimentary video (edited, no less).

More film festival coverage
Thanks to Brad Reed for mentioning the Flyer in his film festival story last night. Respect.

NEARBY

Arkansas Lottery 101
Arkansas Times’ Gerard Matthews has an excellent piece on the Arkansas Lottery that can bring you up to speed on details surrounding the executive director, the actual games being planned, rollout dates, and the cash, baby. The cash.

Welcome Blog Hawgs
A new site has launched with plans to cover “sports, politics, pop culture…and other stuff.” Again, here’s to more local (and free) online content.

ELSEWHERE

MJ’s murdered?
TMZ was the first to announce the death of Michael Jackson. Now they’re reporting that toxicology results indicate his death was “almost certainly” a homicide.
