Arkansas Basketball 2009-10 Non-Conference schedule released
The 2009-2010 Razorback non-conference basketball schedule is out, and it’s a tough one.
8 out of the 15 teams on the Hogs non-conference schedule played in the post season last year, including five teams that finished in the top 52 in the nation in RPI last year (Oklahoma (No. 5), Louisville (7), Texas (38), Baylor (44) and UAB (52), and that’s without even considering the tough schedule the Hogs will face when SEC play begins. The Hogs went 12-1 in non-conference play last year before hitting a wall against SEC teams, and finishing just 14-16 for the year.
Most notably, the Hogs will meet Pelphrey’s old coach, Rick Pitino, when they take on Louisville in the SEC-Big East challenge in St. Louis. They will also travel to Oklahoma this year to take on the Blake-Griffin-less Sooners in Norman, and Texas will make a return trip to Bud Walton this year as well.
