To-do: Monday 8/3

  • By Todd Gill · Monday, Aug 3, 2009

Either this week is the slowest week in the history of Fayetteville or we are seriously lacking in our ability to round up all of the events that are happening in the next seven days.

I know it gets slow when the students are gone but this is just silly. I think there were more events last Thursday than there are all week.

Nevertheless, there are still things to do and one of them is Party on the Patio at Powerhouse Seafood. Tonight’s house band will feature Dan Hicks (bass), Will Collins (guitars), Lucien Tisdale (keys), and Johny Arredondo (drums). Some of these folks play in Hardaway and the Commoners. In other words, this should be good. Afterwards it’s an open jam so bring your guitar, bass or triangle and get ready to rock. Or roll. Or triangle.

What else is the haps? Here:

Gypsy on College: Jovan Arellano
Nightbird Books: Arkansas Playwrights Workshop with Bob Ford – 6:30pm
Pesto Cafe: Darren Ray
Powerhouse Seafood: Open Jam Monday
Smiling Jack’s: Marley Monday
