Local540 News: Naturals tickets, Oysters Rockefeller and more

  • Fayetteville Flyer · Friday, Aug 7, 2009

For the last several weeks, we’ve been providing a kind of cliff’s notes of all the deals, specials, and new happenings on Local540 to our group on Facebook.

They’ve been so well received that we thought we’d share them in our sponsored announcement section here on the Flyer as well. Here are some things happening on Local540 right now. Click on whatever you want. It’s a free country.

Smoke and Barrel has uploaded their August calendar, and it’s a good one. Monday, they’ll have Zechs Marquise, with members of Mars Volta. Whoa.

Did you know that there is free parking in front of Railhead Saloon for customers? Just look for the signs.

Mae’s Emporium is turning 1, and they have stocked the store for the return of students to the U of A and will begin opening on Saturdays with the first home game.

Buster Belly’s has $2 Wells, Drafts, Margaritas, SummerBrews, Domestic and Import Bottles during happy hour M-Sat from 4-7.

Hammontree’s also has a pretty sweet happy hour, with $1 off all their beers and wines from 3-6 daily.

Did you know you can get a six pack of beer to go with your order at Penguin Ed’s? They are also selling frozen cookie dough, so you can pretend you made those snicker doodles from scratch. All three locations.

LIT still has $2 Corona’s and Red Stripes. Cause it’s hot out there.

The Clarion has Oysters Rockefeller on Friday. Fresh oysters broiled with a savory New Orleans influenced butter and herb sauce with bacon and spinach, topped with toasted bread crumbs

The Flying Burrito is still giving away tickets for all the remaining Naturals games. Enter at any location.

Wing Wednesday at Lucky Luke’s is becoming a tradition. 30¢ wings and $1 drafts every Wednesday night.

Heartwood Gallery is now showing work at the Fayetteville Visitors Center. Stop by during the Farmers Market.

Did you know Insty Prints in Fayetteville can print on virtually anything? Umbrella’s, ink pens, coffee cups, your dog. Ok, not your dog. Also, if you don’t like it, it’s free.

Drinks are half price at Mickey Finns on Sunday nights? It’s true.

Benjamin Del Shreve is playing at the 21st Amendment Sunday night, and all of their wines and martini’s are 1/2 price.

Good Things Boutique has locally made jewelry, called “Urban Jungle” by Juli Odum. It’s awesome, and affordable, between $18-39. Check out some pictures.
