The “I Heart John Ray” fundraiser is set for this Thursday and we have a pair of tickets to give away for anyone who’d like to attend.

John Ray, who works at Cheap Thrills here in Fayetteville has seen a mountain of medical bills start to pile up after a recent open heart surgery and since he has no insurance, some local folks have gotten together to raise money to help him out. For more information, check out our original story from last Monday.

Tickets are normally $25 so if you win, you’ll have extra cash for the silent auction once inside.

How to enter
This one’s going to be quick since the event is only three days away. The contest will close at 11:30am today (45 minutes from now). If you’d like to win (please don’t enter just for fun), leave a comment and tell us when the last time you were in Cheap Thrills and what you were shopping for. If you’ve never been, just say so. You’ll still be entered.

What you’ll win
One person will win two tickets to Thursday night’s (August 13, 2009) fundraiser at the Dickson Theater in Fayetteville.

A few rules (read ‘em carefully):

• You may only enter this specific contest once.
• This contest is open to anyone anywhere except Fayetteville Flyer writers and their immediate family members.
• Contest is open until 11:30am CST on Monday, August 10, 2009.
  Make sure you leave a valid e-mail address when filling out the comment form since that’s how we’ll contact you if you’ve won.
• You’ll have to provide us with your first and last name (if you win) and a mailing address so we can send your tickets to you. You should receive them by Thursday at the latest.
