Travis Tritt is coming to Dickson Street

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Friday, Aug 21, 2009

We’ve been hearing rumors that Travis Tritt is headed to Fayetteville for a while now and we finally got confirmation today.

Travis will be playing in the Walton Arts Center Parking lot on Friday, September 11 at 8:00 pm. The Dickson Street Concert will be held as part of the festivities around the LPGA Tour’s P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship presented by John Q. Hammons. The LPGA tournament is held at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, September 7 through 13.

The concert is free and open to everyone and no ticket is required.

“The expectation for our event is that it will appeal to and reach all of Northwest Arkansas, from Bella Vista to Fayetteville and all points in between,” said Jay Allen, tournament chair in a press release. “We appreciate the opportunity to bring a top flight entertainment event to downtown Fayetteville as part of LPGA week in Northwest Arkansas.”

Old Travis is famous for country songs such as “Country Club,” “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” “Help Me Hold On,” “Anymore,” “Can I Trust You With My Heart,” “Foolish Pride,” “Best of Intentions” and “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive.”

He also has one of the sweetest mullets known to man. I saw Travis in concert at Barnhill Arena when I was in 10th grade. Also, I wore a cowboy hat.
