Weekend: August 21, 22, 23

It’s going to be a perfect weekend for the Farmers’ Market.

The Fayetteville Farmers’ Market has cracked the top 100 in the country with over 250 votes for Care2.com’s Farmers’ Market contest. We sit at #41 this morning, and another 100 votes will probably get us into the top 25. Nice work Fayetteville.

The weather this weekend is looking absolutely perfect, with the forecast for Fayetteville showing sun, and temperatures in the upper 70s all weekend.

I’d find a patio to chill on tonight if I were you.

Patio-wise, The Railhead Saloon has the Tiffany Christopher Band tonight beginning at 7:00 pm. The Pope County Bootleggers will be on the patio at Jammin’ Java.

After the sun goes down, you could venture over to the Smoke and Barrel for 1 oz Jig and shake your booty.

Tomorrow begins with the Farmers’ Market and it will be packed. Get some vegetables.

Tomorrow night, there’s some Comedy Improv at Scarpino’s with Dan’s Party.

Tunes-wise, your best bet is a big show at Smoke and Barrel with Spencer H, Sarah Hughes, and Pope County Bootleggers. There’s also a big house show with Perpetual Werewolf, Bang Bangladesh, Pisser and Egyptr at the corner of Cleveland and Oakland. Follow your ears.

Also Saturday night, there’s a Masquerade Ball at George’s with A Good Fight, My Solstice, and Lord T & Eloise, and The Plaid Jackets.

Sunday is going to be delicious. The Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks is having Tomato Fest.

Sunday night, there’s an interesting sounding experiment at the Smoke and Barrel. It’s Shaolin movie night, and Formosa Chinese Restaurant will be bringing in a Chinese food buffet. Dinner and a movie for $5? Sweet.

Also on Sunday night, Benjamin Del Shreve will be at the 21st Amendment. Wine and martinis are 1/2 price.

Enjoy the weather. What are you guys doing this weekend?
