Hardaway & The Commoners to debut new album

  • By Todd Gill · Tuesday, Aug 25, 2009

Fayetteville’s “certified organic hip hop” group Hardaway & The Commoners are officially releasing their brand new album “Off the Record” this Saturday, August 29th at George’s Majestic Lounge. The all-ages CD release partay has five bands scheduled to play including Nate Hancock & The Declaration, The OneUps, Groovement and Little Rock’s 607.

Besides putting together a seriously badass PitchEngine press release, the band is running a couple of contests to help drum up excitement.

Contest #1: Free tickets to the show

If you want to score some free tickets to the show, alls ya gotta do is visit scrbe.us/offtherecord and post a comment and you will automatically be entered into their drawing to win two free tickets to the release party. The more comments, the better your chances of winning are.

Contest #2: Free album

“This one is for my Tweeters,” says Colin Hardaway via Facebook message. From now until Saturday, if you’re one of the top two people to make the most tweets using “@ColinHardaway,” you’ll win a free Hardaway & The Commoners album, Off the Record, at the CD Release this Saturday. From the message: “I’m tallying 1 @ColinHardaway per post, so if you type 100 @ColinHardaway’s in one post, it still counts as one– gata do multiple tweets to win!!”

This show should be awesome.
