Township Street will be closed to traffic between Gregg and North College avenues until Sunday, Sept. 13. City officials are asking drivers to use Sunbridge Drive as a detour, however, all businesses and local residents will have access to their property.
According to Fayetteville Communication Director Lindsley Smith, construction of a major concrete culvert crossing is currently taking place as part of the Transportation Bond Program. Due to the narrowness of the existing road, the entire street is currently closed to traffic for the safety of motorists and pedestrians, as well as expediting the construction of the culvert.
“The City of Fayetteville regrets any inconvenience during this construction, and we appreciate your patience while this culvert crossing is completed,” said Smith.
