Town Hall Meeting to be held Sept. 28

  • By Todd Gill · Thursday, Sep 17, 2009

A Town Hall Meeting will be held by Mayor Lioneld Jordan at the Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club on Monday, September 28, at 7pm.

The previous meeting was on June 30 at Sequoyah United Methodist Church. Each meeting is scheduled in a different ward throughout the year, and this time the meeting will be held in Ward Four.

According to a city press release, “The Town Hall Meeting is an opportunity to learn more about our local government and ask questions about programs and policies of city government.”

Mayor Jordan will be joined by several city department heads, including City Finance Director Paul Becker, who will provide information about City finances; City Engineer Chris Brown, who will discuss Mt Comfort Road and Garland Avenue; Development Services Director Jeremy Pate to discuss residential codes; Parks and Recreation Director Connie Edmonston to discuss Bryce Davis and Red Oak Parks; and Police Chief Greg Tabor will discuss police response times. Additionally, Mayor Jordan and Chief of Staff Don Marr will provide a review of stimulus funding.

The last 30 minutes of the meeting will be devoted exclusively to questions from the audience.

The Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club is located at 560 N. Rupple Rd.
