Author James Patterson coming to Rogers Oct. 3

New York Times best-selling author James Patterson, and writer of the slogan “Toys R Us Kid” (seriously) will be at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers on October 3 as part of the Rogers Public Library Foundation’s “Conversations” series. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Rogers Public Library.

Tickets can be purchased for $50 beginning Sept. 9 at the Rogers Public Library or online. The event includes breakfast and a copy of Patterson’s new novel, Alex Cross’s Trial, released on Aug. 24. Following breakfast, Patterson will be available to sign copies for attendees. Seating is limited to 600.

Patterson holds the New York Times best-sellers list record with 46 best-selling titles. In 2007, one of every 15 hardcover novels sold was a Patterson title. Several of them have been made into films, most notably “Kiss the Girls” and “Along Came a Spider” with Morgan Freeman.
