On Wednesday, Sept. 30 and Thursday, Oct. 1, the City’s Transportation Division will again close Township Street to through traffic from College Avenue to Old Wire Road in order to apply the final asphalt overlay to this section of the road.
According to a statement released by city staff, this process will complete the renovation and construction on this section of Township Street.
Like last week’s closure, the street will be closed on Wednesday from 8:30am through the remainder of the workday. On Thursday, the street will be closed from around 6:00am until about 6:00pm. If weather interferes, the overlay will likely be rescheduled.
Citizens are urged to anticipate using an alternate route during this construction period. Accommodations will be made for traffic that needs direct access to a residence or business on that section of Township Street.
