To-do: Tuesday 9/29

  • By Todd Gill · Tuesday, Sep 29, 2009

Thanks to the cold weather that rolled in overnight, half of Fayetteville will spend the evening sniffling, coughing and prepping for an inevitable common cold.

For those of you who are feeling pretty OK, you might want to find something to do tonight.

The Chi Omega Greek Theater is hosting a free concert with Nashville’s Eric Church. According to Tuned In, Church has broken into the Top 25 country charts four times since 2006. If you like straight-up country music (aka lyrics like, “I want a little more right and a little less left”) go check him out in the cool weather. Justin Moore opens the show. Bring a jacket.

Tonight is also the final performance of The Wedding Singer at Walton Arts Center. If you missed out last night, this is your last chance to see it before the cast and crew departs for an 87-city tour.

There’s live jazz at Scarpino’s, Sarah Hughes at Herman’s and a big show at George’s featuring 12 Stones and a few others.

That’s it. But here’s the list anyway:

Herman’s Ribhouse: Sarah Hughes
George’s: 12 Stones, Wake The Light, Resident Hero, Even Heroes
Teatro Scarpino: Live jazz
Walton Arts Center: The Wedding Singer
UA Greek Theater: Eric Church
