Fayetteville’s Bulldogs to celebrate football homecoming this week

Fayetteville High School will celebrate its football homecoming this week with a number of activities leading up to the main event, the game with 7A West opponent, and longtime rival, Springdale High School on Friday night.

There will be multiple events taking place at the school through the week, but things really get going on Thursday morning with a couple of assemblies where students will get the opportunity to hear from this year’s Fayetteville Hall of Honor inductees which include Mary Ann Greenwood, Greg Lee, and Frank Sharp. The inductees will be formally inducted into the Hall during a ceremony at the Fayetteville Town Center on Thursday evening.

The homecoming parade will get underway on Friday afternoon at 3pm. The parade route will run from the Fayetteville High School up to the Fayetteville Square. A pep rally featuring the football team, band, and spirit squads will take place on the Square following the parade.

Prior to the kickoff of the football game on Friday evening, the school will celebrate the coronation of its Homecoming Court which includes Emily Bishop-Queen, Madeline Whitaker-Maid of Honor, Cambry Knies-First Maid, Savannah Swaffer-Second Maid, and Cynthia Swaffer-Third Maid. The pre-game coronation ceremony will begin at 7pm with the football game kicking off immediately following.
