Single Parent Scholarship Fund hosts Golftoberfest Mini-Golf Tourney

Looking for an opportunity to show off your golf skills?

I’m not talking about the ones you may have developed at a country club or local driving range. I am talking about the ones needed to navigate a course surrounded by giant animals, covered in rolling greens, and holding you to a two stroke par.

The Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas will be hosting their annual Golftoberfest Mini-Golf Tournament this Saturday, October 17 at Gator Golf in Fayetteville. Like a traditional golf tournament, four-person teams play 18 holes with a shotgun start. The tournament will feature flights at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm with lunch provided by Liberty Bank between 11:00 am-1:00 pm.

Registration for a team of 4 is $50, and all the proceeds go to benefit the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas. Registration forms can be found here, and should be emailed to Anne Jackson at [email protected].

The Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas serves Carroll, Madison and Washington Counties with the mission of helping single parents to become self-sufficient through post-secondary education. The organization offers scholarships to help single parents pay for the costs of their education and related living expenses. These scholarships total more than $250,000 annually.

The application deadline for Single Parent Scholarships for the Spring 2010 semester is Thursday, October 15, 2009. All applicants must apply online at www.spsfnwa.org.
