The Morning News’ Dan Craft is reporting that Billy Joe Bartholomew, owner of the Washington County Livestock Auction, has filed a notice of appeal of the City Council’s Sept. 15 denial of a rezoning request that would have enabled the sale of his property.
The city’s Planning Commission approved the rezoning 6-1, but the City Council voted 4-3 against it after tabling the request several times over the course of three months.
